Henley Regatta 2021 COVID Code of Conduct

The Official Code of Conduct for HRR

henley regatta 2021

This code of conduct was taken directly from the official HRR website in order to spread awareness of COVID-19 prior to the event.

In light of the changing and evolving nature of the COVID situation, Henley Royal Regatta (HRR) reserves the right to amend and update its Spectator COVID Code of Conduct in response to changing guidance.

Everyone attending HRR’s official site, including its Enclosures, Competitor facilities, car parks and other areas under its control shall, by their attendance, be considered as having agreed to this Code of Conduct, and to follow it strictly.  HRR will not make any exceptions in this regard and any person who fails to comply with the terms of this Code of Conduct may be refused entry to, or removed from, the site.

All attendees are responsible for undertaking their own health risk assessment and should not travel to the event if;

  • You are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms
  • You have had a recent positive test for COVID-19 within the last 14 days
  • A member of your household or bubble are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or are awaiting COVID-19 test results
  • You have been required to isolate due to being contacted via the NHS Test and Trace App.

On arrival attendees will be asked to declare themselves symptom free.

Prepare in Advance

On arrival all attendees will need to show their electronic ticket and proof of COVID status.  To speed things up as much as possible, please have your documents ready in printed form, or alternatively saved to your mobile device in advance of arrival in Henley as the mobile networks will be under considerable pressure.

Entry Requirements

On each day of attendance all attendees must be able to present proof of COVID status in the form of:

Double Vaccination

Full (two dose) COVID-19 vaccinations administered at least 14 days before attendance, demonstrated via the NHS App or the NHS.UK website or by letter which can be ordered by calling 119 (NB these can take 5 working days to arrive)

 OR

Negative Lateral Flow Test

A negative lateral flow test result (for those aged 11 or over) within 48 hours of attendance via the NHS App or the NHS.UK. website. Ticket holders from Northern Ireland or from outside the UK will not be able to provide proof of vaccination and must show a negative lateral flow test result instead.

 OR

Natural Immunity Certification

If you are resident in England, proof of natural immunity (positive PCR test within the last six months, after self-isolation has ended and up to 180 days after taking the test), demonstrated via your NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App.

Test and Trace

It is important that HRR has up-to-date contact information for all attendees as, in the event that it is necessary we will supply this information to the relevant authorities for test and trace purposes.

Face Masks/Coverings

Although the legal requirement to wear a face covering in England has ended, in line with Government guidance you are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings when queuing, in crowded and enclosed spaces and where social distancing is not possible, for example the toilet facilities, Shop and Prize Tent.

Facemasks will be mandatory in the Luncheon Tent and Seafood Restaurant, except when sitting at your table, or if you are medically exempt.

Hand Hygiene

Hand sanitiser stations will be located at the entrances and exits into venues and spaces within the enclosures such as the food court. Everyone should wash their hands or sanitise regularly.

Social Distancing

We request that everyone keep their distance from other groups as far as reasonably practicable.

Isolation

Please be aware that the rules around self-isolation remain in force until the 16th of August 2021. You must self-isolate immediately if:

  • You develop symptoms of COVID19
  • Someone you live with develops symptoms of COVID19
  • You, or someone you live with returns a positive test
  • You are contacted by NHS Track and Trace and are told to self isolate

Further information on self isolation can be found on the NHS website here
